Can you help me with the following problem? When I try to play euchre, on msn zone, I can get in to lobby, then in to game at which time a message comes up that says a serious error has occurred and app'l will shut down, then box that is mg shell.ini comes up as illegal operation. I checked the properties of mgshell.ini and it is empty, says it is a windows configeration setting. If it is empty, how the heck do I reinstall just that? Thank you.

Mgshell is not a windows standard file that I'm aware of. *ini files are installed as part of an application or device package. It is not unusal to have a 0 byte ini. It may be used to store user preferences if set.

Perhaps you should take advantage of the live board member support at The Game Zone:
    http://zone.msn.com/zzzz/sysophelpmain.asp

Perhaps a fellow member there can better help you figure out the best method to iron out this problem.

The online gaming sites all have their own ways of doing things and security settings, minimum requirements, software and kink workarounds. Perhaps making sure you have nothing running in background when accessing this site will help as per this faq:
To resolve this issue, quit any unnecessary programs that are running on your computer and then temporarily disable any anti-virus or disk-tool programs on your computer. To do this:
Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE to open the Close Program dialog box.

Quit all programs except Explorer and Systray (which are components of Microsoft Windows). To quit a program, click the program, and then click End Task.

Repeat steps 1-2 until you have quit all unnecessary programs that are running on your computer.

Disable any anti-virus or disk-tool programs that are running on your computer. For instructions on how to disable these programs, refer to the printed or online documentation for the program.

Start your Web browser, and then connect to the Zone.
NOTE: After you are connected to the Zone, you can re-enable your anti-virus and disk-tool programs

or this may be the result of something that was needed/downloaded prior to entry into the "euchre" zone was corrupted/interupted/incomplete.

    Good luck........
