Resolved Messenger Live will not stay open.

    Hi, suddenly on my Acer laptop" Windows Messenger Live" just opens then disappears.
    it opens normally and when all the little extra's in the bottom section open it just flashes off, and the icon in the tray stay's till you put the curser on it and it then goes.
    It works on my desktop and phone Ok,
    Has been Ok for about 18 months or so, but for about the last 6 - 8 months it would not seem stay logged in, when I open it I have had to type in my info each time .
    I did a repair , no luck so I have completely removed it and re down loaded Windows Essentials, a couple of times but still no luck. Any ideas please

    Microsoft is retiring Windows Live Messenger and you won't be able to use it past Q1 2013.

    So I suggest you bite the bullet and move to Skype. You can import your Messenger contacts into Skype, see Talk to your Messenger Contacts on Skype

    Thanks Arie. I already use Skype as well, I find Skype best for Video & phone calls etc , but preferred Messenger Live for typed contact,
