Hi, I just did a non-destructive system restore on my computer (basically just re-installs Windows without formating). When I did this all my settings where reset and my user accounts where kidof dissactivated. I now have a new "Owner" under "owner.computername" and my old one is still in the Documents and Settings folder. In what configuration file or resgistry entry would I be able to change what user folder the Windows boots into??

    Thank you

    Lost or Corrupt User Profile

Create a new account/administrator profile and log in. Then go to C:\Documents and Settings\[Previous User Profile] and copy all folders to: C:\Documents and Settings\[New User Profile]. Then reboot.
