I have set up a home network across my 3 computers. One is Windows 98 and 2 are Windows XP. In windows 98 there is winpopup to send quick messages to other computers but it doesn't exist in XP. What do I do ?

    Help please

    Ray

You'll need a 3rd party product for that. XP has a message system but it won't work with 9X and the 9X one won't work with any of the NT systems.

This one says it will. They do say that with the unregistered version you can't save some settings but that indicates to me that you can get it free and it will work.

Otherwise, try a Google search for winpopup xp and check out some of the others you will see listed.

have you tried the "net send" command?? open a command prompt and use

"net send xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx message goes here "

that should send messages across a network.
