if i click on my computer ...under hard disk drives there is a c drive and a d drive
i am on c drive which has only 2 gigs of free space where as d drive has 25 gigs of free space so u can see i would like to have the 2 combined for 27 gigs of free space
    is this do-able ?

You will need to clarify exactly what you are trying to achieve .....

Merge 2 user accounts (see Evan's post) ....

    or

    Merge 2 partitions

The latter cannot be done directly in Windows XP -you will need to use third party software to achieve that, and, before you try, ensure that you have a current backup of your data. Merging partitions can go very pear shaped :)

The real issue here seems to be, "Why only 2 GB free space left on C drive? "

Did you know that you can create a folder on D drive, name it My Documents or anything else, then right click the My Documents folder on the Desktop and move its contents to the D folder? This will free up space on C.

You should probably also run Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Cleanup and get rid of temporary files.
