I have merged a video and an audio stream (both mp4 format) using VLC player successfully. It plays in VLC player ... but it only shows the video in other video player, ie. as if the audio was not merged in.
Any clues on how to get VLC to save a truly merged file that will also play in other players e.g. Windows Media Player.

    Thanks!

Sounds like (no pun intended) an uncommon audio codec was used. Try converting the audio to a format that is playable in other players.
