What's the easiest way to find out which memory your pc uses? As in PC2100
    PC2700 PC3200??

I would say the easiest way to see what is currently installed is with this little app. Just download, unzip and run.
It does not install or write anything to your computer but just self runs from the .exe

If you want to know what it is capable of using then I would think you would need to look in the motherboard manual. Unless one of the more comprehensive system tools like Everest or Belarc Advisor could tell you. Anyone know?

Thanks irdreed, but is that showing what the currently installed memory is capable of running at, or what type/speed of memory the motherboard can use?

Galaxytec, I completely forgot about something that I should have included in my first post. The Crucial web site offers a service to tell you what memory is compatible with your system. http://www.crucial.com You can’t go wrong buying from them as well, the service is good and the memory top quality, plus the prices are about as competitive as you can get. Well they were the last time I bought memory about 2 years ago.

    McTavish,
Wasn't sure that he was looking for, the MB capabilities, just thought he wanted to know info on the memory that was already in his PC.

Grab a copy of the free Everest Home while you can, the company discontinued it. It will tell you the current memory type that's installed and as well tell you the motherboard name and number. It also will display a link to each manufacturer site where you can easily look up components' specs, e.g. how much memory the mb supports.
    Get Everest here:
