    Hi kidk

You'll find answers to that question and answer to many more using
ADIA32 I use the "Enterprise version ". Yes, it's free.

DDR RAM has a single, off-center notch on the contact side. SDRAM has two notches. You have to remove the chips to see this.

    When using IDIA32 Enterprise...
    From left panel....
    See "Motherboard" expand list
    See "SPD" click on it
    -(or)-
    From Icons on center screen....
    Click on "Motherboard "
    Now click on "SPD "

    Notice split display
Top screen will provide info for ALL memory chip(s).
Bottom screen will provide more detail "per chip" based on which chip is high lighted on top screen.
MEMO-- sometimes the bottom screen will not display - or - will until you change top display selects... then bottom screen will go "gray out ".... ? Don't know if it's a bug or just my system.
