    Hello,

I recently added 128 MB PS100 DIMM Ram to my computer. This was to increase my current 64 MB PS100 DIMM Ram to a total of 192 MB.

I ran Belarc Advisor, and the following appeared:

    128 MB installed memory
    Slot DIMM1 has 64 MB
    Slot DIMM2 has 64 MB
    Slot DIMM3 is empty

This is what I have done thus far:

    - Put 128 in Slot 1 and 64 in Slot 2. Read as 128 total ram.
    - Put 64 in Slot 1 and 128 in Slot 2. Read as 128 total ram.
    - Put 128 in Slot 1 and 64 in Slot 3. Read as 128 total ram.
    - Put 64 in Slot 1 and 128 in Slot 3. Read as 128 total ram.
    - Put 128 in Slot 1. Read as 128 total ram.
    - Put 128 in Slot 2. Read as 128 total ram.
    - Put 128 in Slot 3. Read as 128 total ram.
    - Put 64 in Slot 1. Read as 64 total ram.
    - Put 64 in Slot 2. Read as 64 total ram.
    - Put 64 in Slot 3. Read as 64 total ram.

Now I currently have 128 in Slot 1, and 64 in Slot 2, and it's read as 128 total ram.

I looked as the Hewlett Packard site and it stated that the 3 slots should be able to read the exact ram inserted into each slot.

I am running Windows XP Pro, with 10 GIG hard drive. Computer is running okay, but would like to know how to get the computer to recognize the 192 MB total ram I've installed.

I would appreciate any help on this issue as I just spent $80 Canadian on the 128 Ram.

    Thanks a lot.
    Cathie.

If they're 2 different brands of memory you probably won't be able to read all of it. Not all memory chips play well together.
