I just bought a new Dell Dimension 2400 with 2.20 GHZ Intel 4 Celeron, 512 MB Ram. I did a Belarc Profile of my computer and it tells me I have just an 8 kilobyte primary memory cache, and 128 kilobyte secondary memory cache. This seems low for a new computer. My old five year old computer has 32 KB primary cache and 512 KB secondary cache. My question is, is it worth the money to upgrade the memory caches? I am not a power user and just use the computer to surf the web, word processing, and email. Thanks.

L1 cache and L2 cache are 'built in' features of the processor - they cannot be changed or upgraded - except by changing the CPU.

CPU technology has moved on just a bit in the last 5 years - your new CPU is many times faster and far more powerful than your old one - despite the difference in L1 and L2 caches.

    Details of your CPU here

Your CPU/PC are more than adequate for your needs - could be said - 'way above'.
