My cousin sends me small zipped AVI's of her new baby. On my old computer w/ Windows 95, I could unzip and view them. On my new computer w/ Windows XP, I unzipped the AVI, but when I double click it, Media Player opens and I can hear the sound but can't see the video. Right before the sound starts playing, a message on Media Player says, "error downloading codec ".
Any advice???? How do I find out which codec I'm missing??
    Please help!

As a work-around, type mplayer2 in the Run box (Start > Run ). This will open Media Player 6.4. Now play the file here.....

    Still doesn't work

    Thanks Arie for your help!
I tried what you said but it still didn't work. On my old computer, I had once downloaded some stuff from the Divx website. I wonder if I need to do that again?
