when i click radio stations my media player goes to redirect and in order to listen to station I want I must watch and hear a commercial for either quest or microsoft. Does anybody know how to get rid of these commercials? Every time I change stations one of these ads plays befor station. It is always the same ads , they alternate. Help help please. I'm new to using these computors and old too. I "d like to get a little use out of this computor befor I push the grass up. THANKS, Brian

 

I am afraid that is the price you have to pay for using MS products. In all fairness though RealPlayer does the same thing. I don't think there is anyway to get around it.

 

You might try some other internet radio program.

Viddi player is simple and very functional:

(This one requires RealNetwork's rmoc3260.dll to function since it uses the Real streaming protocols for many of its stations. Installing a version of RealOne, even the free version, takes care of that.)

Radio Free Virgin has ads here and there, but is a good player and not quite so intrusive as the ads in WMP:
