ME doesn't recognise video camera

Running ME on an AMD 1800 with 512 Mb.
Have just installed a DAZZLE PCI card IEEE 1394 for video capture.
The card and associated software seem to be operating and, when I plug the DV camera (Sharp Viewcam) into the Firewire port, a new device is found. HOWEVER, it comes up as Other Devices in Device Manager and I can do nothing with it.
I found 1394bus.sys on the ME cd but to no effect.
Someone said I need DVCAM.SYS and DVCAM.INF. Well, I've found them but how do I use them (if at all)?
Can anyone help?

I see only USB drivers, but you will need to check for your specific model.
