Mcafee VirusScan Pro 8 not updating

Hey people. I have a little problem with my virus scanner (McAfee). When a new update is ready to be downloaded, I click on 'Update' and it takes me to thier site to download, after the page loads up, it then says 'VirusScan Professional is already installed on your computer.' I have tried to download several times but I just get the same message. Everytime I start up windows it says updates are available. It's been like this for about three days now.

Hi Darryl,

Honestly, that is something I would recommend you take up with McAffee. I believe you can even do an online chat session with tech support. Is there an option to allow automatic updates? If so, have you tried allowing it and see what happens. Can you force an auto update? Maybe uninstall/reinstall the program. Obviously, I don't have McAffee so not alot of help here.
