    Hey
I have McAfee firewall and it is set at "Standard ".
Should I raise it to a higher setting ? How secure is standard? and if I raise it what kind of blocking problems might I be looking at? Will it restrict everything?
    Thanks
    Geri

Just an answer to boot your question up on the board.

Suggest you read the manual. :D

    Hello Geri,

Don't use it and I assume not a lot here do either. I setup a system with McAfee on it a few weeks ago and did root around in the help files and the options.

Should I raise it to a higher setting ? How secure is standard? and if I raise it what kind of blocking problems might I be looking at? Will it restrict everything?

Questions such a yours can be answered by actually doing something, such as experimenting since it's reversable. Tackle it like you would any problem, keep track of current settings and write down what steps you took. This is a major piece of security software and very much worth learning how to operate it.

    Regards - Charles
