I have computer running windows XP. I installed mcafee version 6. The system is using multiple user login accounts. (5 plus admin). Mcafee only starts when using the account which I was logged in on while installing it. It doesn't start up for other users, which makes me think they are not protected from viruses. Is Mcafee 6 compatible with XP or does it need to be installed and/or configured for every user??

You probably have a shortcut that starts it under your account in Documents & Settings (drill down to the Start Up folder).

Try first just moving that shortcut to Start Up in the All Users section. That may take care of things.

If not, it will be due to a permissions issue where another user may not have the rights needed to run the program. If logging on as Administrator or as yourself allows it to run but as another user doesn't, post back. But please specify XP-home or XP-pro since they do the security thing differently.

In fact, any post dealing with XP should have the version specified.
