    [Inactive] Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Issue.

    Hello Everyone,

My Malwarebytes Anti-Malware program is such a mess sometimes. Now recently it just stopped letting me delete the previous scan logs. They are just stuck over there and I am unable to remove even a single one.

When I opened one of those it just showed a single line stating the date of log creation and a message with "Protection Stopped ". That means it's in actual having nothing to be of concern with the security scans, still just be there. Then I opened up other logs as well they were just the same for different dates.

What do I do to remove them? Wouldn't they harm my system if I just left them UN-attended:mad:?

    1. Uninstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware using Add/Remove (Programs & Features) programs in the control panel.
    2. Restart your computer (very important).
    3. Download and run this utility.
    4. It will ask to restart your computer (please allow it to).
    5. After the computer restarts, install the latest version from here.

    See if that helps.

    Thanks for the kind support

    Hey Broni,

First of all thanks for the suggestion, that would surely work. But the question is still that can't it simply get removed. I know that uninstalling an application would completely erase it's logs and traces. But then it's not the ultimate solution at all. What's the reason it's not going at all.

I'm not sure if I understand what you just said.
    Please rephrase.

I mean can't it be simply done without uninstalling?

    Hello again broni,

I appreciate your keen replies but what I just asked is. I know uninstalling and re-installing a software would surely remove the issues related with that specific program. But my point is, if I can just remove the logs from there without uninstalling entire Malwarebytes and the process you asked me to?

I just wanted to know why the logs are stuck there not going away? Shall I attach a screen shot for the issue?:eek:

They may be stuck because probably MBAM got corrupted.
I'm not sure what is the big deal with reinstalling MBAM.
