I do NOT know what I did, but Eudora bwecame my defualt mail program even when I have set Netscape 7.0 to be it. I have un-installed Eudora AND Netscape a number of times and still can't get it to work! HOW can I set it so Netscape IS the Default mail program???

I KNOW how to edit files, just tell me what files and how...

To explain better. When ever I open Eudora and close it then when I open Netscape it keeps asking me if I want to make it the default mail and I AWAYS say yes and ck do not show message again. When I ck the options for Netscape, it shows that Netscape IS the mail program.

Open and close Eudora and open Necape and got asked again and do ot all over...

    Get the idea?

    I am using 98se btw

    Welcome to the Forum, Argent!

    Hi Argent,

Read this guideline on How to Make Netscape the Default Browser. This should help.

Post back with any questions, or if you continue to have problems.

Netscape IS my default browser already. I am trying to stop the "Do you want to make Netscape your default mail application" from popping up when I have already set it to be.

Everytime I open and close Eudora then open Netscape, I get the window asking me that even though Netscape IS already set as the default.

I even set it never to ask again and it still happens.

Forgot to mention that I am using Netscape 7.02 and I have the profile on a different hard drive from the program...

Actually I just figured out how to fix it!!!

    Got the tip from here:

    http://home.att.net/~cherokee67/eudoradefault.html

    I changed

    Registry:
    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\mailto\shell\open\command]
    C:\PROGRA~1\Qualcomm\Eudora\Eudora.exe /m %1

    to

    Registry:
    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\mailto\shell\open\command]
    C:\PROGRA~1\Netscape'\Netscape\Netscp.exe /m %1

    and re-booted.

Now it is the way it was!!!

    All is good now!
    :)
