All my computer specs are listed in my sig. My configuration is as follows, my cable modem and my phone (via a Cisco System ATA 186) are hooked up to a Netgear WebSafe router RP114. Everything worked like fine until this morning. All my programs had disconnected and no matter what I did I couldn't reconnect. My phone is dead.

I called Comcast and they told me to disconnect from my router and plug the modem directly to my computer, which I did. I'm now back online but I can't use my phone. All the lights on my router appeared normal and I reset it, but that made no difference.

Has anyone ever had this trouble with a router before?

Shawowhawk - at a guess, possibly a power surge fried something (worst case) or scrambled something in firmware. You might try getting the latest firmware update for the router and applying it.
