Mailwasher sets my screen resolution to 8-bit

    It is strange. Whenever I start up the latest version of Mailwasher - 6.5, from Firetrust - it takes my 32-bit screen resolution and resets it to 8-bit.

    I'm running an e-Machines T5274 dual core Intel E2180, with 2 GB RAM, a 300 GB HD, Vista Home Premium SP2, MS Office 2003 Pro, and other normal, non-esoteric, non-arcane software.

    I have never seen this kind of thing in a lot of years working with PCs.

    Has anybody seen this and, if so, can they make a suggestion?
