Do you see any difference from their last, free version? Looks the same to me.

I must agree the only difference i could see and in using it was a slightly more flashy interface and now it has the option for a viewing pane like outlook express, has anybody detected any worthwhile differences

That's the reason that I am religious about updates when I find good freeware. Much of it goes retail, and the last free one is as good as the first pay version. It happened with Download Accelerator, Power Archiver, amd many others, and I really think Agent Ransack may go retail one of these days, too (if MS doesn't buy him out when they realize how much better his searcher is than theirs!).

I think that good freeware programs that ask you so pay a small amount if you are pleased with it deserves support. In the case of Mailwasher it was $10 - $20 not a lot of money for such a good program and if you are a subscriber you also get a free upgrade to the Pro version.

Another good program if you like good quality freeware is Kana Reminder you can check it out HERE along with some other good programs.

Totally agree and thanks for the link. I'm not a "dot-communist" that thinks, like some people, that everything on the internet should be free, or at least paid for by someone else :) .

If thought you were Abraxas I would not have posted the link.
like me you seem to appreciate the hard work and effort that goes into lots of these programs and any encouragement to the author is always appreciated

    regards Alboy

None that haven't already been mentioned....however, the 'free' version, while still available, will no longer be supported nor updated.

The latest version of MailWasher the free version no longer supports MSN or multiple accounts. Those features can only be gotten in the Pro version.

So, if you have a free version that still supports MSN and multiple accounts, don't get the latest free version.

Another product they have is called Benign, which I feel is a great product also.

I ran MailWasher (free) Did register it and upgraded to Pro. Of all the email checkers I have tried, MailWasher is the best format I have found. I have added blacklist servers and some reg expressions and once I tweeked the format, I have had no spam or unwanted emails sneak past. Even in the basic format, this is one of the easiest programs to set up and use. I also run FireTrust Benign. I am impressed with this prog. I did not realize how much formatting, scripting, cookies, ect I was receiving in my emails. Technical Newsletters are the worst. I feel with MailWasher, Benign, a virus prog, and some common sense, I am doing my uptmost to protect my system.
