I'm using outlook 2007 to receive/send messages for my 'windows live' account. So now I have two folders in the mail vane; i.e. 'personal folders' and the new folder for my windows live account.
Is there any way I can remove the 'personal folders' as it gets me a little confused!
    Thanks

"IF" the folder is EMPTY - you could try right clicking on it and select Delete.

Thanks Steve, but the 'personal folders' section doesn't give that option

Personal Folders cannot be removed AFAIK, but can be hidden.

A workaround for your preferred arrangement .....

Drag the Windows Live Folder to Favourite Folders and then click on the chevron in the Mail Folders header which will hide all folders under that heading.

Drawback is that you will then not see the Outbox, Sent Items and Junk Mail folders, unless you also drag those to Favourite Folders.
