"Mail Merge" gone in Word 2000!

The "mail merge" option under my Tool menu has disappeared. I last used it a few months ago and I needed it again today and it's not there! I haven't done anything to my Word or Windows since I last used it. Anyone know what's up? I'm so confused. Thanks.

 

This is just a shot in the dark.
But have you tried to click the double arrow at the bottom of the Tools menu?
This should open up the full menu allowing you to choose hidden items.

As default Office 2000 hides buttons and menu items that haven't been used in a while, supposedly adapting to the way you work.
Some people like this feature others hate it like the plague.

If you have this feature enabled and want to disable it, you can go to Tools -> Customize and on the Options tab you place a check mark next to "Always show full menus ".

If this is not the problem I'm afraid I can't help.
