My wife got an e-mail from her sister, in Maine, dated: Thu, 14 Jun 2007 20:23:59 -0400
That was confirmed on the Date line of View message source.
The From line was a more reasonable Wed Jun 13 21:31:44 2007, but still with a considerable discrepancy.
The date the same in Seamonkey1.1.2 and Thunderbird2.0.
    What's going on?

Just a guess, the senders computer clock is wrong.........
the top From:= YOUR LOCAL time actually DL

    example:
From - Fri Jun 08 20:37:13 2007 (Your actual DL time)
    Message-ID: <4680D495.3000707@mchsi.com>
    Date: Fri, 08 Jun 2007 22:30:59 -0500
    is SENDERS COMPUTER date/time
This time is adjusted to GMT (Universal) time
    08 Jun 2007 22:30:59 -0500 = 09 Jun 2007 03:30:59 GMT +/- 0
and THEN adjusted to reflect YOUR COMPUTER time zone......
    My Time Zone = -0700 (GMT - 7 hours)
    ergo
    09 Jun 2007 03:30:59 (GMT) = 08 Jun 2007 20:30:59 -0700
This is what shows YOUR message panel.
    6/8/2007 8:30 PM
At least that is how I think it works, but I could be wrong....

I will tell her. It seems that the time was kept on the daylight saving time, i.e. 0400. Bring an eastern time it should have been -0500. As for the day, it is another story. I hav a feeling that she is using two or more different computers.
Earlier mail indicates the same date, as well as the date of the day before. Or mail sent later?
