    rg,

Are you highlighting the folder you wish to delete. Clicking on the EDIT tab, and selecting: Delete Folder?

    Ramona,

Yes I am highlighting the folder. I tried again with the Netscape email account I have. - I click on the Drafts folder, then click on the Edit menu; the option to Delete folder is not available. I do not have this problem with POP3 email accounts.

    rg,

I have neither NIM or Netscape Web Mail, so somewhat handicapped in helping you figure this out, by trial and error.

Does a right click do anything for you? How about, with Netscape closed, and in Windows Explorer, can you see these Folders there? If so, then can you delete them in Windows Explorer?

The Drafts Folder is a default folder, so I imagine that is why the "Delete" feature is unavailable. It is the same in POP3 Mail.

    Hi RG88,

I asked a Netscape cohort, who does use Netscape Web Mail, to check out your folder problem. This is his reply:

    Ramona,

Thanks. You were right - the Drafts folder cannot be deleted from within Netscape.

However, I now have a new problem. I move some of my sent messages to subfolders I created in the Sent folder. When I do this the recepient for all the sent message changes to my name. Why does this happen, and how can I fix it?

    Hi RG88,

This is a known bug since NS 6. No one seems to have a good workaround. It's been fixed in Mozilla 1.1, so hopefully it will be fixed in the next NS 7 release.

    Ramona,

Thanks for all your help. Netscape 7.02 seems to have stabilized now except for the mail bug. I am going to be using it as the default browser now.

Where can I download Mozilla 1.1? Is it very different from Netscape 7.02? Can I transfer my Netscape settings such as bookmarks, mail etc to use with it?

    Hi RG88,

You can download Mozilla HERE and HERE

If you want the Spell Checker, it can be downloaded HERE

Mozilla IS Netscape 7.02, without the frills. One important reminder: you must use a unique Profile for Mozilla. Sharing a Profile with Netscape 7.02 can create serious problems.

You can share the same Bookmarks, Address Book, Cookies, etc. DO NOT share the same prefs.js file, however. You CAN share the user.js file, if you have created your own user.js. Also keep in mind that Mozilla is not for end users, it is for developers, and therefore, not without bugs.

    More Mozilla information...
