    Greetings!

After installing Nav 6.21 and converting from Communicator 4.7, none of my mail folders were carried over. Maybe I neglected to do something. Is it possible to get my 4.7 mail folders with their existing messages into the Nav 6.21 mail?

Thanks for any help you can give!

    Hey there billybobpa,

The mail folders (the ones with no extenstions) are the same format in both programs, and may be copied from one mail directory to the other.

I would strongly recommend backing up your User profiles in both programs first. Then, with Netscape closed, edit the files in Windows Explorer.

Netscape 6.x profile data is in C:\Windows\Application Data\Mozilla\Profiles

Let us know how it goes.

    Ramona:

I apologize for not getting back to you sooner. Your advice was very helpful and pointed me in the right direction.

I found that the mail.server.server1.directory specified in my Mozilla prefs.js file was pointing to a numbered directory - netmail.home-1.com - that did not have my original folders. My options were to change the value to the correct directory or juggle the names of the directory.

After that, my 4.7 folders appeared in 6.2. Many thanks for your help!
