    Hello.
    Windows Vista here.
My HD crashed two days ago, and I had to reinstall everything on my new HD.
I recreated my two existing Comcast accounts through Account Settings, but in Thunderbird main window, they don't show up in left pane under All Folders.
All I can see there is "Local Folders ", and all my mail goes into its Inbox.
I can send, and receive, but I can't see my two accounts.
    What gives?
    Thanks.

I believe that this is by default, that if you don't look carefully when the mail is set up, that there is a small box with a check mark, indicating Global settings.
If you did not notice this, all mail will go into Local Folders.
I, personally, and obviously you, like to have mail from each account in its own place. But, this is not done as a rule. Opera mail piles up all accounts in one Inbox (may be there is a setting there, but I don't know where it is), making it difficult to find e-mails. I know that one way is to create the same account, making sure that the Global Settings is unchecked. I believe that this is after you enter the pop server info. I do uncheck i so automatically that I am not sure where it is, but, just look at what comes up.

Thank you very much. You helped a lot.
In each account, under "Server Settings ", when you click on "Advanced" button, you can change it from "Global" to own Inbox.
    Problem fixed:)

Glad to have led you in the right direction, and, even better, your figuring out an easy solution. Thanks.

In fact, I remembered, I had same problem long time ago, when I reinstalled Win 2K, but I couldn't recall what I did to fix it.
You pointed me in the right direction. Thanks.:D
