My CWShreadder will remove MADFINDER, and then when I reboot it always comes back. Is there a way to get rid of it completely?

 

Make sure you have all other windows closed, fix with CWShredder then follow the instructions here to manually disable system restore. Navigate to C:\Windows\System and look for svc.exe and delete. If it will not let you, download and install Move-on-Boot. You will have a new right click option. Use it on that file. Then reboot and re-enable system restore.

Do you have the latest version of Spybot? If not, get it and use the immunize feature it has. There's a link on the immunize page for SpywareBlaster. Install that too.

 

The disable system restore box is now checked after the reboot. The file space however reverted back to maximum, and now it cant be moved back with my cursor.

 

Try setting it again after the next reboot. Did you find the file? And get it deleted? Just noticed the thread in ME forum still ongoing and now with HJT log. Probably should just stick to one. Maybe Lonny will merge them.
