Flah is the pronunciation of a Flash Object, a .FLA file. FLA is pronounced "flah ".

A Flash Object is any such file embedded in a Web page using the <OBJECT> tag. (tags are code used to differentiate the individual "objects" in a Web page.) Think of this text you are reading right now as an object, the title of the page as another object, the logo picture at the top as another object, my name on the left as another object, my signature below as another object, the Post Reply button as another object, etc..

Flash Objects are .SWF, FLA, FLV.

To answer your question, no, Flash Objects is not another software. The software for Flash are:
Flash - used by developer to create Flash Objects (multimedia presentations)
Flash Player - used to view Flash multimedia by the Web browser.
Shockwave Player - used to view Flash Object games and applications by the Web browser. There is also a standalone Shockwave Player that views such offline all by itself.
