    Total Physical Memory 128.00 MB

Way too little, should be 512 MB.

Once you do that, the other specs will go up.

Go to the Crucial http://www.crucial.com/index.asp?AID=5032655&PID=316093 and follow the prompts for your system.

Download Everest and look under motherboard - should see the make and model. Then log onto Crucial and work through their memory selector.

    Hi Keith,

Everest will also tell you whether you have more than one DIMM - Memory slot.

If so, and you get 512, put that in the first slot moving the current 128 to the second. This depends on what the max memory can be installed on your system. Most newer systems can hold more 512.

    Hi Kieth,

I think you have enough info for the Crucial site.

For the number of memory slots:

    Expand Motherboard in left Panel
    Click on SPD

In the right panel under description:
    DIMM2 and its description

    If a second slot:
    DIMM3 and its description.

    Regards - Charles

    Some info that may help.

    The motherboard's webpage:
    http://global.aopen.com.tw/Products/mb/mx64.htm

Compatible RAM (from the links on the left-hand side of that page):
    http://swe.aopen.com.tw/testreport/mb/ListTestItem.asp?nothing=nothing&TestFunction=323&Model=335

It takes PC133 SDRAM. If you want to purchase locally, try Ebay, check for local computer dismantlers/refurbishers or check for local computer markets/fairs/swap meets. It may be hard to find one stick of 512mb PC133 RAM, 2 X 256mb would be same, even 128 + 256mb should improve performance until you found some more (you could make an arrangement of 256 + 128 + 128 to get 512mb).

Hopefully this fits in with Charlesvar's questions (I think Charles is trying to discover how many sticks/modules you have now...128mb could be 1x128mb, 2x 64mb or 64 + 32 +32).

    Matt

    Hi Matt,

That's why I was trying to find out how many slots there are.

I run 384 (256 + the original 128) on my system. Never bothered to go to 512 because I'm a bear on making sure applications don't startup on this system if not needed. When I bootup up, close to 60% of the memory is free.

    Regards - Charles
