    Hi!

I installed Windows XP professional a while back and at the time when it said I would no longer be able to use my DVD player, my CD burner, my scanner and a bunch of my other programs I thought it wasn't a big deal--download some drivers and I would be all set. But now it is giving me more problems than I bargained for--fatal errors, it won't let me recieve any incoming files via aim, and I am basically unsatisfied, but I can't go back to 98 because when I put the install disk in it claims that I have to restart in DOS mode. My computer, whenever I enter into the setup restarts and will not let me continue any further. Is there any easy way to go back to 98 or should I consider looking into 2000 or a different operating system?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

    Thanks :)

You will have to do a FORMAT and then boot to your Windows 98 Boot disks and run the Windows setup from there.
