Hello, hope someone can help me. I have recently lost a folder of images which i am still trying to recover. Is it possible that i could lose these images completely? I expected to find them in recycle bin but not there. I have also tried a programme called Recuva but without success. Any suggestions please.

    Welcome to WindowsBBS :)

How did you 'lose' this folder?

If you know what type of image files it contained - .jpg, etc search your hard drive for *.jpg or *.xxx where xxx is the file extension of the missing files.

Rather than use the Windows search facility I suggest you use Agent Ransack (freeware) a much more powerfull search engine than Windows.

Depending on the time scale from 'losing' the folder, if it was deleted the odds are that the disk space it used has now been overwritten.

No doubt you now realise the importance of maintaining an up to date backup of all your important data.
