I've recently lost the function ability to compile source code to an executable file by Dragging & Dropping the Source Code file's icon on-top-of a compiler's icon. I liked to do this on the Win98 desktop while experimenting/testing varous routines.

'Been doing this for months and now, for some reason it's quit working?? I don't know of any changes I've made to cause this, however I must have inadvertently done something to affect (lose) this function.

Any ideas of settings (including the registry or other sysedit group files) that might recover this would be much appreciated because this was a great time saver.

Thanks for any help or suggestions..

How about the rest of the drag and drop functions in windows? Do they work? Try another app and see. If not try running the IE repair tool. If that doesn't do it try installing DCOM98 . If this is the only app that gives you problems and either of these don't work, I don't know. Have you tried reinstalling the program?
