Loss of file EGCOMSERVICE_1053.dll

    My Virus Checker removed this file for some reason and now I get a message everytime I startup - where can I get this file from to return it to where it should be - also to where do I return it

    tigerdb - Welcome to the Board :)

    You do not want EGCOMSERVICE_1053.dll on your system at all! It is a baddie and your system is infected. Your virus checker did it's job, but there are remnants on your system.

    Download HijackThis through Quicklinks in my signature, save it to a folder on your hard drive, not to the desktop or a temporary location. Run it and post the log file here.
