My date and time is only working when computer is on. I'm told it's probably the lithium battery. How do l find out/change battery?

    Welcome to WindowsBBS BEV! :)

Unplug the machine. Open the case. There is a board mounted inside with electronic components on it (the motherboard). The battery should be on there. It usually looks like a large watch battery, but depends on the age and make of PC. It either snaps in or is under a clip. Don't pull on the clip if it's that type. Just slip battery out from under it. Be careful not to stick metal objects inside, and try not to touch anything you don't need to. Best done if standing on rubber mat. Static electricity and/or shorting out components can damage circuits. There are also components that retain some electrical current which could cause bodily harm and or death (worst case scenario- bad heart, pacemaker, you know  ). My point is, BE CAREFUL!

After removing/replacing, start computer and go into the BIOS to set the date/time. Save and exit.
