Looking for your views on web hosting and bulletin board systems

I currently belong to a board that uses ezboard for their hosting/board use. Ezboard *****, to put it bluntly. Their servers crash constantly which means we lose members because it takes them days to get up and running again.

So, we're going to move, and we need some recommendations about bulletin board systems and web sites for hosting.

We want the most we can get without having to blow a lot (or any ) money.

Things we need are:
site customization
Ad-free (ability to ad our own ads)
and just standard board features

You may want to check out emaxhosting.com... i did quite a bit of searching for a hosting company and found that this company was extremely competitive and scored very high in hosting rankings.
