One of two Address Book options in OE6 is:

"Share content information among Microsoft Outlook and other applications. Address book data will be stored in the Microsoft Outlook Contact Store.â€

Checking it blew up my Address Book links and generated a ton of error messages when OE6 launched, so I set it back to the original option ( "...store in .wab file ").

Seems like the "Outlook Contact Store" might be an interesting tool (apparently only if used by experienced professionals, lol) to explore if it actually allows contact sharing among applications.

Can anyone point me to some information about this feature and why it does not seem to work with OE6? Thanks

    Hi WFC_Exile
Sorry, if I'm stating the obvious.......but you do know that Outlook and Outlook Express are two different programs?

    Absolutely aware.

However the reference to sharing with Outlook and "other applications" is found within Outlook Express. I'm thinking there is a way to share contact data among Outlook, Outlook Express, and who knows what else. Clicking the choice about Outlook (again, which was in Outlook Express) is what blew up my Outlook Express. That is why I was looking for some info about that choice and it's possibilities.
