    Hi all,
Good to see the BBS back in action! I am an adminisrtator of a, now, peer-to-peer network of about 25 computers......Win95, 98, NT, 2000 mix. We are outgrowing this setup and will be moving over to a Small Business Server 2000 machine. I have a ton of questions and am wondering if there is someone who is experienced in SBS that I would be able to use as a mentor, or any good websites, and books to read????
    Please help
    Thanks,
    RPC

I have some experiece setting up SBS 4.5 and 2000. It's is a nice server for the small business with no NT / 2000 experience. It configures just about everything through wizards.
Also, and here is a plug, if you buy your server from Dell, you can get Enterprise level support assistance with your server through a Silver or Gold contract purchased with your server. :D

I prefer that all questions be posted on the board, that way you get the experience of everyone and not just me. Also it gives everyone a chance to learn from my experience with SBS 2k.

Been Running SBS 2000 for about a year now.
Found the best price at www.provantage.com

    http://www.provantage.com/FP_57020.HTM

Shoot me an E mail and I will try to answer as many questions as I can.
I started with a 3 computer peer to peer and transformed into a 15 machine network with SBS server and Network Printers. (not printers hanging off a pc but printers with a real IP).
I built the server, created a domain, and the whole nine yards.
Got my nics and bumps along the way too.
Nice suite of software, modem sharing, fax sharing, exchange all in one nice package.
