I am looking for a checkbook software that just gets into entering checks written with relevant information and gives the current balance of the checkbook. I want to use this for recording purposes where I can go back into my checks if I am looking for a certain item. Hopefully there would be a print routine included.
Most of the software offered seems to go into great detail such as setting up categories, graphs, printing checks, using the Internet, etc. I have Quicken but don't need all that. I just want something simple. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Claire

Checkbook 1.4 Never used this program, but it appears to be a job specific.
Many more selections (5 pages) from Free Accounting Software

Thanks to everyone for your suggestions. I found 2 to try out to work with my checkbook. Both are really simple and will also print the register if needed.
    Thanks again

    Thanks msbooch for posting back.
Many would be interested in knowing which programs you found to do it "Your Way ". Your help allows others to find solutions to this daunting question .. just tell me how much is in my checking account. Forget about budget this, graph that.
    Thanks. :)
