I use Outlook Express. I received an e-mail the other day and it took a long time to download. Eventually it proved to be 2MB sent by someone who uses Broadband so I telephoned the sender and requested no more long e-mails since I use Dial-up. Now I have another e-mail (not from same person) and it is so long that Outlook Express is timing out and meanwhile subsequent e-mails are piling up as a result. In such circumstances is there a way to delete such an e-mail whilst it is being received so that I can read all the subsequent e-mails?

    Kind regards,
    Pat

If you have the facility to read your emails online log on to your ISP and delete it there. I can do this with BT Yahoo, albeit Broadband connection, may be the same for dial up.

    Pete,
Thankyou so much for that information. I visited my ISP and by selecting 'webmail' was presented with all the forthcoming e-mails, their sizes and authors together with the option of deleting any of them; which resulted in my problem being solved in one fail-swoop!.

    Kind regards,
    Pat
