logon icon missing

My buddy, put me as an administrator on my puter and when I tried to load nero under my girlfriends icon it said she wasn't authorized, so I tried to change her to an administator and was modifying mine also. Somehow I lost my login icon. When I try to create a new icon under my old name it says I can't because it's already there. How do I get my icon back? with the old settings I hope.

Also, seperate issue. How do I turn diskeeper off it runs often and slows my puter down ?

 

restore the old store

Restart/F8/command prompt only. type C:\scanreg /restore and select the registry before ya played around with things & got into trouble. Usually yesterday.

 

I don't know why I didn't do that my self (restore) but of course it worked. Thanks.
