login problem: takes more then 3 minutes

    Hi!
    I have NT4 network and few segments.In one segment I nave one BDC server,let'sn say server1.I set another BDC server(server2) for this segment.In server1 I have problem with hardware and i turn it off and removed from domain.I capture login processe.When machine from this segment login to network it's try to get authorithation first from server1 and doing these few times(about 4),so login takes more then 3 minites(before its took les then 1 min).Where there is information about server1?How I can fix problem?

    But its work winth NT Workstation and i have win95,98.

    Check WINS, LMHOSTS or registry for the old server.

    No.
    I change name and IP to old server1 and problem fixed.But these temporary .
