Is it a rumor or true that I can designate part of my Hard Drive
to be included in my RAM?

I am running WIN98SE with a Cyrix MMX 333, 4.2 HD (52% free) and maxed out at 64 Mg RAM. Can I designate part of the HD to act like a RAM chip/board?

You should already be using your hard drive as "RAM ". Its called Virtual Memory and it is enabled by default.

When one or more programs are open and they need more memory than what you have in RAM, the operating system will start to use the hard-drive to store the extra information. You will notice some drive activity when you swap back and forward between open applications.

Unfortunately, this makes the system slower because as you probably know, accessing the hard drive is much much slower than accessing RAM. I suggest you invest in buying some more RAM or try and keep the number of open applications to a minimum.

    Hope that helps.
