Locking MsWord & Excel files for viewing by others

    I have to post MsWord documents & Excel documents on a Citrix network for others to view. Is there anyway when I post these files on the Citrix network for others to view but restrict them from being changed by the viewers.

    What version of Word are you using? In Word 2003... if you go to the 'Tools' menu and select 'Protect Document' you are offered options that will take care of this for you. Regarding other versions of Word... I know there are similar options available. I just don't have access to other versions at the present time.
