When I go to Tools/Internet Options I get message that

"This operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator. "

I thought I was my own 'system administrator'. What do I do to set it right?

Don't we have any control over our lives any more?

    Mirror,
Your confidence in my abilities to decipher Greek is very flattering but totally unwarrated. I'm afraid I either need a translator or more specific advice.

    Thank you,

Try doing what in safe mode? Why should I even have to go into safe mode? This computer wasn't doing this recently, why now? Isn't there an easier way to turn off the administrator? In the Microsoft page Mirror referred to I don't have a clue as to what to do.

    still

    Hi,
    You can go
    Start->Regedit and click OK
Then you are looking at your registry database.
Follow the path the article tells you,
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Restrictions and HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Restrictions registry keys
you are looking for this value in the right pane.
    NoBrowserOptions
Maybe it is set to a wrong value.
Just have a look. The article is actully wroten in Chinses. Heihei

    PS
I just deleted the No Browser Options, was that a no-no? It appears to have worked though.
    Thanks again
