locked out litterally

    Please if anyone can help recently my grandmother passed and I now have her laptop and I don't have her password to get on to the computer it won't let me bypass the password and I would like to know if anyone knows how to get passed it please help me

    You need to clear the BIOS . Lot of laptop makeres have that information on their websites. Usually under the FAQ's.

    Train's suggestion will work if the password is right after you start the PC and before windows starts to load (a BIOS password).

    If the password is to log on to windows, you are stuck and might as well use the 2K CD to reinstall windows.

    If it is your BIOS password and you get stuck, post back.

    If it is the windows password then as stated in rule #6, we won't even discuss it.
