    Hi,
Is there a way to lock in the weather for your city on the MSN homepage in
    IE7.

Everytime i change the city to my area, it eventually changes back to New
    York, NY.

I couldn't find anything in the help files for IE7.

    Thanks.

    jslow,

For my MSN page, I type in my zip code, hit go, and then click on "Change details ". There you will see the cities that you have and you can remove any city you don't want. Just click save quickly or it will close and revert back to the previous setting. Hopefully, that is what you meant.

    Mike,

I've been using the method you described and it does not lock in my city.

I also received the following suggestions, but they do not lock in my city. It will stay for about two days and then it reverts back to New York, NY.

"Again, click on IE Tools | Internet Options | Privacy | Sites: type in...

    msn.com [and]
live.com [<=forgot this one last time]

then Allow cookies for each domain, in turn.

Also sign-in to the appropriate Live ID https://account.live.com | click on
Registered Information link which takes you to Edit Profile page & make sure
your geographic info (e.g., City & State; ZIP code) is correct. "

    jslow,

Since I don't use IE that often, I only have a couple other suggestions. Have you tried deleting your cookies? Maybe a bad one in there. The last time I had a problem with the MSN site, I contacted them about it. Here is the link. They kind of bury it in the feedback section. They answered pretty quick to my question. Sorry, that's all I can think of right now.

It sounds like a cookie problem. Either a corrupted one as Mike suggested, but it could also be that you have (security-type) software that deletes the cookie.

    Hi Mike & Arie,

I deleted all of the cookies in Temporary Internet Files.

I also sent a question to Mike's link.

I'll reply back if any of these helped.

    Thanks

I tried the following to lock in a local city for weather on the MSN homepage and so far it's been holding for three days:

"Weather on MSN Homepage "“ Lock In Local City
Change to correct city on lower left side of home page, click on change details. Delete other cities not desired and then click on save.
Close IE7 and then reopen it.
Then click on Edit in upper right hand corner of MSN.com
Then click on Save & Close. "
