    I've just installed Netscape Navigator 7.1. I've searched and searched for the file containing the URL's in the location bar. I see a Mozilla folder, where is a spot I saw might be a possibility, but I can't find a file containing the URL's I see in the location bar. I do see prefs.js but do not see the URL's in ther location bar in that file. I'd like to be able to manually edit them like I used to do with previous versions of NN. I'm still running the default profile on Windows XP Home. Where are the possible locations and what are the possible filenames...please?

    Welcome to the Forum, Micky10!

    Hi Micky,

    URL History is stored in the localstore.rdf file which is located in the *.slt directory.

    Example taken from localstore.rdf ...

    <RDF:Seq RDF:about= "nc:urlbar-history ">
    <RDF:li>about:config</RDF:li>
    <RDF:li>google.com</RDF:li>
    <RDF:li>http://www.windowsbbs.com/rules.php</RDF:li>

    Delete the lines under the header and the url history will be gone.

    Ensure that Netscape and Quick Launch are closed before editing.

    Thanks

    I haven't had a chance to get there yet but will soon. I thank you for the information. I used to populate the file with a list of sites I visit regularly. I'd write a batch file to automate the task. I'll now be able to do that once again, unless there's a freeware utility that you know of that would make the process even easier.
