I don't consider myself a Windows novice, but this one is stumping me. I don't think it's causing me a problem, but it has been bugging me for awhile.
I'm running XP Pro with the latest updates as are 3 other machines I have access to. When I go into the main machine, under Local Security Policy>Local Policies>Security Options, I only see the below items in the right pane. Every other machine I look at has 60 or so entries. Below is a dump of the entire security policy pane.
    Thanks

    Policy Security Setting
    Accounts: Administrator account status Enabled
    Accounts: Guest account status Enabled
    Accounts: Rename administrator account Administrator
    Accounts: Rename guest account Guest
Network access: Allow anonymous SID/Name translation Disabled
Network security: Force logoff when logon hours expire Disabled

probably a .inf file loaded that's not the default. i THINK the default policy on xp pro local is rootsec.inf.

u can see the .infs via action/import in any event.
