    Windows 7 Premium
    Service pack 1
    RAM: 3GB (2.74 GB usable)
    System-type: 64-bit

    I have following issue:
    - noticed that my local disk-space (D) has 9.10GB free out of 135 GB; but when i select all folders and right click Properties it shows me in tab General size and size disk 18.2 GB:

Is this common? why does my local D show me i have only 9.10 GB free when all the files together have only 18.2 GB?

Hi foogy. By default Windows 7 hides protected system files and does not display hidden files and folders. In Windows Explorer if you click Tools< Folder Options< View tab and show hidden files and folders and unhide protected system files then you should be able to get the correct approximation of how much free space you have left on your hard drive.

Alternatively you can download TreeSize Free v3.0 and it will tell you what directories are using up most of your hard drive space.
